After you're invited to a workspace

What to do when you receive a workspace invitation email, and how to actually accept it once you're signed in.

You've received an email inviting you to join a Banana Pin workspace. The invite link expires 48 hours after it's sent — if it's expired, ask the person who invited you to resend it. What happens next depends on whether you already have a Banana Pin account.

If you already have an account

  1. 1Click the invitation link and log in with the account matching the invited email address.
  2. 2You'll land on your dashboard home, not automatically inside the invitation.
  3. 3Open Invitations received in the sidebar, find the pending invite, and click Accept.

If you don't have an account yet

  1. 1Click the invitation link and choose Create an account, using the same email address the invite was sent to.
  2. 2Check your inbox for a separate verification email and click the link in it to verify your new account.
  3. 3You'll be asked to log in again after verifying — this is a normal, required step.
  4. 4Once logged in, open Invitations received in the sidebar, find the pending invite, and click Accept.
Accepting isn't automatic in either path — signing in or verifying your email only gets you into the dashboard. You always finish by accepting the invite yourself from Invitations received.

Once accepted

You're a member of the workspace with the role you were assigned (Owner, Admin, Operator, or Viewer). If your invite was scoped to specific products, you'll only see those within the workspace.

  • If the workspace already has claimed devices, you'll see their live data immediately, subject to your role and product scope.
  • If it's a new workspace with no devices yet, someone with Owner or Admin access will need to claim a device before there's any data to view.
